Excavation Work for Additional Frost Walls
For this project, Briggs Contracting completed precise excavation work to prepare for additional frost walls supporting a new home addition in Maine. Because Maine’s climate demands deep, properly engineered foundations, this phase was critical to the long-term stability and performance of the structure. Our team carefully excavated to the required depth, working around existing features of the home while maintaining clean, safe, and efficient site conditions.
Attention to drainage, soil conditions, and frost depth guided every step of the process. By creating a properly prepared footprint for the new frost walls, we ensured the foundation would be protected from seasonal freeze-thaw cycles and future settling.
This project highlights our commitment to doing the unseen work the right way—laying the groundwork for a strong, durable addition that will stand up to Maine’s tough weather for years to come.
